A broad foundation before specialization.
The program moves from safety culture and basic construction skills into rigging, lifting equipment, fall protection, workforce structure, construction history, finance basics, jobsite administration, and OSHA 10.
Its focus areas are Safety, Rigging, Tools, Math, Equipment, Professional Conduct, and Union Awareness.

What the curriculum is designed to cover.
Orientation standards
Safety and readiness are introduced from the first class.
Week 1 covers attendance and grading expectations, fit for duty, physical and mental readiness, the program's substance policy, fatigue and impairment risks, required PPE, proper construction clothing, heat stress, and hydration.
Workforce awareness
Students also learn how construction workplaces are organized.
The curriculum covers chain of command, trade options, union structure, differences between union and non-union employment, basic finance, jobsite schedules, breaks, lunches, and professional workplace expectations.
