Andrew Kuykendall is a dedicated leader, educator, and skilled trades professional with 15 years of experience in the construction industry. He began his career by completing a rigorous five-year apprenticeship in mechanical insulation, developing the technical knowledge, craftsmanship, and leadership skills that would shape his career.
Throughout his time in the field, Andrew has worked across multiple territories and successfully managed numerous construction projects throughout Southern Nevada.
Today, Andrew is recognized as a Master Trainer in the craft of Mechanical Insulation, using his field experience to educate, mentor, and develop the next generation of skilled trades professionals.
In 2026, Andrew was honored as the Nevada State Apprenticeship Director of the Year, recognizing his leadership and commitment to advancing registered apprenticeship, workforce development, and career opportunities throughout Nevada.
Andrew currently serves as Chair of the Southern Nevada Apprenticeship Council, where he works alongside industry, labor, education, and workforce partners to strengthen apprenticeship opportunities throughout the region. He also serves on the Heat and Frost Insulators and Allied Workers International Apprenticeship Steering Committee, collaborating with leading apprenticeship directors from across the United States and Canada to help advance training standards, curriculum, instructor development, and the future of the mechanical insulation industry.
Andrew's commitment to excellence in his craft was demonstrated early in his career when he represented his trade as a 2018 Master Apprentice Competition competitor for the International Association of Heat and Frost Insulators and Allied Workers.
From completing his own five-year apprenticeship and leading construction projects in the field to becoming a Master Trainer and nationally recognized apprenticeship leader, Andrew's career has remained centered on one mission: creating opportunities for people to develop their skills, build successful careers, and strengthen the future of the skilled trades.
